I touched down on Toshara in 2026 expecting a gentle open-world stroll. Instead, I got syndicate drama, locked doors, and a Pyke boss named Gorak who definitely did not want visitors. My reputation with the Pykes was somewhere between “stranger” and “public nuisance,” so the main entrance into Mirogana’s Pyke district was off-limits. That didn’t stop me. With Nix riding shotgun and a blaster set to stun, I found the sneaky route into Gorak’s base.

What You Need to Know First

Gorak’s base sits northeast of the Stormtrooper checkpoint near the main entrance into Mirogana City. If you somehow have a “good” reputation with the Pykes before this quest, congratulations—you can stroll through the front door like you own the place. Most of us, however, trigger this while the Pykes still think Kay Vess is a walking insurance liability. So we take the vents like proper scoundrels.

Here’s my hard-earned route, tested during a playthrough where my Pyke reputation could best be described as “please don’t shoot.”

The Infiltration Route, Step by Step

  1. Find the vent. Head to the main Pyke district entrance. Look right, or southeast, and you’ll spot a vent. That’s your new front door.

  2. Move north carefully. After climbing through, follow the stairs and road heading north while avoiding patrols. There’s a green-lit door ahead with heavily armed guards. Do not try to befriend them. Use the crates and sectioned-off area on the left to sneak past.

  3. Take the alley. Continue up the street using pillars as cover. Turn right into the southeast alleyway. Follow it around until you reach a yellow grate on the right wall. Climb it. Yellow usually means climbable in this game, which is honestly nicer than most HOA rules.

  1. Hack the room above. At the top, use your Data Spike to hack into the nearby room. Once inside, enter the vent.

  2. Let Nix do some work. Jump down into the next room and command Nix to call the turbolift via a console on the ground level. You need that turbolift as a bridge.

  3. Cross the turbolift. From your elevated position, walk across the top of the turbolift to reach the walkway. You’ll see broken metal blocking the path ahead. Nix can slip through, so send the little champ to hit the console button beyond.

  1. Climb and crawl. The console lowers another turbolift. Walk across it, then jump straight ahead to the yellow grating and climb to the higher platform. Jump into the pipe hole and keep moving forward.

  2. Deal with the fans. The pipe splits. To the right are spinning fans blocking your path; to the left is a vent you can order Nix to open. Once it’s open, shoot the nodule inside with the stun setting of your blaster. That temporarily stops the fans. Stay crouched and move through the now stationary fans on the right path.

  3. Grapple onward. Ahead you’ll find a large room. Use the grapple point—look for the white and yellow sign—to cross it. Then climb the ladders and pass through the door into the next portion of the Pyke base.

Optional Detour: Grab the Repulsor Drive Adapter

Before leaving the fan area, there’s a small side room worth checking. Enter through the door to the right and head down the ladders at the grapple point. Below, you’ll find a chest containing a Repulsor Drive Adapter. It’s a material used for certain Speeder upgrades, so grabbing it saves you from hunting one down later. Yes, I fell down there accidentally. No, I won’t admit that was the only reason I found it.

Disabling the Barrier Like a Professional

Once you reach the Pyke base interior, you’ll see Gorak’s office ahead. Unfortunately, an energy barrier protects it. You could run through it, but that tends to turn Kay into a very short-lived firework. I recommend stealth.

From the starting point, grapple down and walk up the walkway. Disable any alarms you pass and quietly deal with enemies if needed. Then:

  • Move south up the walkway. You’ll find a console next to a power node. Turn it off to disable one part of the energy barrier.

  • Head to the lower base level to the west, opposite the large room full of monitors and a circular metal well. Turn off that console too.

  • Return up the street to the office entrance.

If you aren’t stealthing, you can shoot the power nodes to blow up these consoles instead. That works, but it also alerts everyone with a pulse. My advice? Keep it quiet unless you enjoy being chased through Mirogana by angry Pykes.

Approach Result
Stealthy Kay stays alive, fewer alarms, less embarrassing reload screen time
Loud and proud Pyke aggro, alarms everywhere, possible rapid demise
Rep grind beforehand Skip the vents entirely by using the main entrance

Finishing the Job

After both consoles are off, the energy barrier drops. Head into Gorak’s office, access his terminal, and hack it. That’s the objective done. You didn’t need to bribe anyone or become best friends with the Pykes. You just needed a vent, a loyal merqaal, and maybe a little patience.

In my 2026 playthrough, my Pyke reputation still wasn’t great after this little break-in, but at least I walked out with the intel, a new upgrade material, and zero desire to ever hear the phrase “intruder detected” again.

May your crouch never fail and your Nix always hit the right button.
