I have spent a ridiculous amount of time in Star Wars Outlaws, and if there is one lesson I keep learning, it is that becoming a top outlaw is expensive. Ships, speeders, upgrades, cosmetics, bribes, and the occasional impulsive Sabacc bet all chew through Credits. Even in 2026, with plenty of other games competing for my attention, I keep coming back to Kay Vess and Nix because the credit chase is just so satisfying. The galaxy is full of syndicates, Imperial outposts, gambling dens, and shady contracts, and every one of them is a potential payday. Below is how I make money fast, what I prioritize, and which methods actually respect my time.

Why Credits Matter More Than Ever

Credits are not just a score. They are freedom. With enough Credits, I can upgrade the Trailblazer, improve my Speeder, buy better gear, and pay off the kind of problems that usually end with a blaster bolt. Reputation with the four key syndicates also shapes how easily I move through their territory. If I am on good terms with Crimson Dawn, Pyke, Hutt, or Ashiga, I can walk through areas that would otherwise require constant stealth. That means fewer fights, faster traversal, and more time spent stealing instead of hiding.

My favorite part is that most money-making methods overlap. A vault robbery can lead to Fathier intel. A syndicate contract can send me into an Imperial outpost. A casual Sabacc game can unlock high-roller tables. The best credit routes are not isolated chores; they are loops.

Rob Syndicate Vaults

Robbing syndicate vaults is one of the biggest early paydays. Each major syndicate hides a vault deep inside its district, and the Crimson Dawn and Pyke vaults in Mirogana are accessible relatively early. Inside, I usually find 5,000 Credits and custom Speeder paint schemes. That is a massive boost for a new outlaw.

The catch is that each vault needs three keycards. Those keycards are scattered across gang territory, so I have to do some serious sneaking. If I get caught, I get kicked out and my reputation drops. To make life easier, I raise my reputation with the syndicate I plan to rob to at least Good. That gives me better access to their compound and reduces the number of thugs I need to avoid. I can find keycard locations by hacking terminals next to each vault. For Crimson Dawn, I head to the landing pad in their base and travel through an air duct. For Pyke, I hack a vent in the alleyway next to the vault.

Fathier Races

Fathier races are one of my favorite low-effort credit farms. These virtual tables appear in most gambling dens, and a smart bet can earn a few hundred Credits at a time. I check each Fathier's energy gauge, age, and past performance. Well-rested horses with green gauges tend to perform best.

The real trick is intel. Near syndicate vaults, I often find datapads that reveal race intel. With that knowledge, I can place a big bet on a rigged race and win reliably. The datapads reset after a while, so I can return and profit again. It feels a little dirty, but I am an outlaw, not a philanthropist.

Sabacc

Sabacc is more than a minigame. It is a social ladder. The first table I find in Mirogana has a 50 Credit buy-in and a 150 Credit reward pot, which seems tiny. I used to ignore it. That was a mistake. Playing lower-stakes tables helps me learn the rules, and once I get comfortable, I get invited to high-roller tables with much larger jackpots.

Nix is my secret weapon. I can command Nix to cheat and reveal what opponents hold. That does not guarantee a win, but it tilts the odds heavily in my favor. Following Danka's main questline eventually points me toward high-roller tables and off-world games. Sabacc is fun, profitable, and a great excuse to eavesdrop on criminals.

Syndicate Contracts

After completing the New Tricks and False Flag main quests, I unlock contract brokers across the galaxy. These contracts pay a few hundred Credits each and improve my reputation with the syndicates. I quickly learned to target contracts that send me into bases I already know. As my reputation rises, those contracts become easier because I can walk through more areas freely.

My favorite brokers in Mirogana are Danka in Makal's bar, Eleera outside the Crimson Dawn district entrance, and Roba Barev inside the Pyke cardroom. Contracts are efficient because they combine Credits, reputation, and sometimes loot. I treat them as my daily routine.

Imperial Terminals

Imperial outposts are scattered around Mirogana. They are usually small towers with a couple of Stormtroopers outside and one on the roof. I sneak past them, hack the terminal inside, and collect arrest Credits. If I fail to get the hack above the red line, I still get a few hundred Credits. If I succeed above the red line, I get over 2,000 Credits. These terminals reset after a few days, so I can rob the same ones repeatedly.

Flog Goods

I pick up valuables from syndicate and Imperial camps constantly. Many are marked safe to sell, but I do not sell them to just anyone. I wait until I find a syndicate merchant who likes me. A good reputation gets me a better price and a discount on their goods. It is a small optimization that adds up over a long play session.

Complete Quests and Listen for Intel

Following the main questline and picking up side quests is obvious, but it is still one of the best credit sources. I watch the top right corner of my screen. When it turns yellow and flashes opportunities nearby, I know there is a sidequest or intel in the area. Sometimes I have to lean on a bar and eavesdrop on patrons. That almost always leads to a loot location on my map.

Petty Thievery with Nix

I never forget the ace up my sleeve. Nix can steal from civilians, Stormtroopers, and syndicate thugs. I enter Nix mode, use the Steal prompt, and let my little merqaal do the work. It is not glamorous, but it is fast, repeatable, and surprisingly safe when I pick distracted targets.

My Quick Credit Loop

Method Effort Typical Payoff
Syndicate vaults High 5,000 Credits plus paint schemes
Fathier races Low 200+ Credits per smart bet
Sabacc Medium Scales with table stakes
Syndicate contracts Medium Few hundred Credits plus reputation
Imperial terminals Medium 2,000+ Credits on a clean hack
Flog goods Low Better prices with good reputation
Quests and intel Medium Steady Credits and loot
Nix pickpocketing Low Small but constant income

If I want a huge injection of Credits, I rob vaults. If I want steady income while exploring, I chain contracts, hack terminals, and let Nix steal everything that is not nailed down. Sabacc and Fathier races fill the gaps between bigger jobs. That loop keeps me rich, keeps my reputation strong, and keeps me moving through the galaxy like a true outlaw.
