Alright, fellow scoundrels and spacefarers! So, you're trying to max out that blaster of yours in Star Wars Outlaws, and you've hit a wall. That sweet Plasma module upgrade is staring you down, but it's locked behind one elusive component: the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger. Trust me, I've been there. Getting the Slivian Iron and MG-2 Power Exceeders? That's a walk in the Coruscant park compared to this. This little piece of tech is like the final, secret ingredient in a Corellian spice recipe—common parts won't cut it. The game's map might point you in the right direction, but what it doesn't tell you is that you're in for a full-blown, puzzle-filled adventure that'll test your platforming skills more than a podrace.
Where to Start: The Hunt Begins on Toshara
First things first, set your course for Toshara. More specifically, you're heading to a place called Typon's Rock, southeast of Jaunta's Hope. Don't just land anywhere; the best spot to begin this vertical maze is on the southeastern side of the rock formation. You'll know you're in the right place when you see a climbable wall staring back at you, practically begging for some grappling hook action.
Your journey to the trigger is less of a straight path and more like navigating the digestive system of a giant, sleeping Sarlacc—full of unexpected chambers and treacherous winds.

Navigating the Vertical Maze
Once you've scaled that first wall, here's the play-by-play:
-
Climb up, turn right, and take a small jump down.
-
Whip out that trusty grappling hook and ascend to the ledge above you. This is where the fun starts.
-
From there, climb the next wall and follow the path left, going up a couple of small steps.
-
You'll soon encounter your first major obstacle: a wind tunnel on your right. ⚠️
This wind doesn't blow constantly; it comes in short, powerful bursts. The key is to use the walls inside the tunnel as shelters. Wait at the first wall for the wind to stop, then sprint to the next wall. Repeat the process: wait, then sprint forward into the alcove below. It's a rhythm game, but instead of hitting notes, you're dodging gale-force winds.
Descending into the Depths: Flyer Ridge Awaits
From the alcove, look down and to your right. You'll see a branch. Attach your grapple hook to it and descend all the way to the bottom. When you land and turn around, you'll be face-to-face with a large, suspicious-looking gray wall covered in cracks and orange markings.
This isn't scenery; it's an invitation. Blast that wall open!
Welcome to the main event. This leads into a series of interconnected caves and tunnels. Loot any resources you see along the way—every credit helps! Keep pushing forward until you reach the massive underground cavern known as Flyer Ridge. This place is the pirates' secret vault, stashed deeper than a Hutt's treasure hoard.
The Pirate's Gauntlet: Puzzles and Wind Gusts
Inside Flyer Ridge, the real platforming challenge begins.
-
Walk to your right until you find two half-walls to climb up.
-
At the top, there's a vent, but it's blocked by a rock. Use the power module on your blaster to break it, then crawl through.
-
On the other side, you'll need to swing across gaps between platforms using your grappling hook. It's straightforward but don't get careless!
You'll eventually come to a large crevice in the cave wall with massive, intermittent wind gusts blasting through it. On either side are climbable walls.
This is the timing test.
-
Climb up the wall on the right halfway, then wait for the wind to stop.
-
Climb the rest of the way and jump to the opposite wall.
-
Climb up halfway again until you're in front of a rock that's blocking the wind. Wait for the gust to stop.
-
Climb up to the top and pull yourself onto the ledge.
Up here, another wind tunnel awaits, with gusts coming through a hole in the wall at intervals. Walk forward a bit, stop, wait for the calm, then proceed.
The Final Stretch and the Grand Prize
Once past the wind, jump down to the next ledge and use the climbing wall on your right. Follow this dark tunnel until... whoosh! Another gust blows you down a sloping path. Ride it out, and just as it ends, jump forward and grab onto the climbing wall that appears. If you miss, it's a long fall back to the start of the tunnel—so time it perfectly!
From there, hook your grappler into a branch above and descend to the floor below. You'll see a lift to your left, but it's dead—no power. To your right, break some rocks to reveal a shutter. This is where your buddy Nix earns his keep. Have Nix hold the shutter open while you quickly shoot the switch inside with your ion blaster. Teamwork makes the dream work!
Scavenge any last resources you can find in the area, then move forward and jump to the final ledge. And there it is... a chest.
Open it to finally retrieve the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger. 🎉
Feels as satisfying as finally deciphering a ancient Jedi text, doesn't it? The energy barrier ahead will lead you right back out of the cave, blaster upgrade component securely in your possession. Now go finish that Plasma module and show the galaxy what your upgraded firepower can do!
